United Visual Artists are a collective whose current practice spans permanent architectural installation, live performance and responsive installation.
They presented the concept and development of their latest responsive installation commissioned by Covent Garden as part of their Delight Christmas campaign this year. Constellation, is a light-based sculptural intervention which has been designed especially for the indoors of Covent Garden Market Halls.
Troika was founded by Conny Freyer, Sebastien Noel and Eva Rucki in 2003. With backgrounds in graphic and communication, art, product design and engineering, they develop a variety of self-initiated and commissioned projects that are both engaging and demanding to the user, from printed matter to product design and custom art installations.
They will talk about Cloud, a five meter long digital sculpture whose surface is covered with 4638 flip-dots that can be individually addressed by a computer to animate its entire skin, created as a signature piece for the British Airways luxury lounges in Heathrow Terminal 5.
