Jane ni Dhulchaointigh is the inventor of the new air-curing rubber for repairing and making, sugru.
Her goal is to encourage more people to take a creative DIY approach to their everyday, and so along with creating this new material, her approach has been to develop a platform where users inspire each other.
Jane will talk about the process of bringing sugru from an idea to a working material technology and getting it out into the world, from courting some of the world’s leading glue brands to “sod it, let’s do this ourselves”, building an online community and a factory to now figuring out how to get from invention to household name.
