Daniel Soltis

Daniel Soltis is a creative technologist, which seems to mean that he works with and talks about emerging technologies; prototypes in sketch, code and hardware; and tries to convince designers and technologists to work together in peace and harmony. He has built interactive objects and installations with Tinker London, written about design for cross-platform systems with Fjord, and is currently at Moving Brands, where does a combination of IA and UX design and R&D projects.

3D Printed Advent is an advent calendar that contains chocolates which were constructed with a RepRap 3D printer. In addition to talking about the calendar’s origin and process, Daniel will look at the project as an example of R&D in the context of a design studio.
